FRCMG - Front Range Community Medical Group

The Front Range Community Medical Group is an anarchist collective of individuals who provide medical training to groups in and around the Front Range area in Colorado.

Trainings are conducted by appointment only for community groups. Groups interested in engaging FRCMG to provide instruction should contact FRCMG[at]proton[dot]me

Pricing for training is negotiated per-event and is provided on a sliding-scale type basis but is generally around $10 per person for most lecture-based classes. More advanced trainings or those involving significant expenditures of supplies will cost more in order to cover the cost of consumables. CPR and Stop the Bleed

A basic class suitable for individuals of all skill levels including those with no previous medical training. This class begins with a lecture about proper CPR technique and bleeding-control methods and then moves into a hands-on skills portion so that individuals can practice and learn proper technique of the skills covered in the lecture. Class length: 4 hours including breaks. Topics covered include:

Scenario-based training

A scenario-based class designed to strengthen the concepts and techniques taught in previous classes. Scenarios involve the use of simulated bodies, stage blood, and other props to enhance training fidelity and provide an opportunity to practice skills under stress. This course is specifically tailored to the needs of the individual group engaging FRCMG. Each class is limited to 10 students or fewer in order to ensure a high instructor-to-student ratio. Pricing will be greater than lecture-based classes in order to cover the cost of consumable supplies, however rates are always negotiable and tailored to the specific group. Class length: varies (approx 4-6 hours). Some scenarios that can be simulated are:

Protest Medic 101

This class covers the basics of performing the duties of a "medic" at a protest. This course begins with a lecture and then moves into a hands-on skills portion so that individuals can practice. This class is about 75% lecture, 25% hands-on. This class begins with a quick review of some items that attendees are expected to already be familiar with: individual risk tolerance, protest best-practices, etc. The course then moves onto topics applicable to the medic such as continuous assessment of scene safety, presenting a calm demeanor, and treatment of injuries common to a protest environment. Class length: approx 6 hours. Some topics include:
